Part B of 3 Steps 07–09
Tactically finished.
Finishing gets planned too: the level, the coats, the texture and the light it'll be seen in. Your painter will thank you.

Finish level matched to light and paint
We pick the finish level room by room and write it into the scope. Level 4 suits most living space under flat or eggshell paint. Level 5, a skim coat over everything, goes where raking light or glossy paint would show every flaw. You don't pay for a skim coat on a wall nobody can see. Level 5 and the finish levels explained

Coats on a schedule, not a rush
Tape coat, fill coat, finish coat, with drying time between each. Cold rooms get heat before mud goes on. A coat over wet mud is how seams shrink and show up a month later.

Texture approved, then checked with a light
We spray or trowel a sample on scrap board, and you approve it before we do the walls. When it's done, every wall gets checked with a work light held flat to the surface.
